Bitget recently launched Quanto perpetual contracts for Hong Kong stocks, currently covering four assets: MiniMax, Tencent, Zhipu AI, and Xiaomi. At first, I didn’t pay much attention and thought it was just a few more trading pairs. But after taking a closer look, I realized the truly interesting part is the Quanto feature. It’s a super simple concept: the stocks are still Hong Kong stocks, and the prices are in HKD, but you don’t need to prepare HKD. You can trade directly using USDT, completely eliminating the hassle of currency exchange. For those whose assets are mainly in USDT, this is actually way more convenient. I also checked some public data. This year, the trading volume of TradFi perpetual contracts grew from about $52 billion in January to $268 billion by June—a growth of over 5x in just half a year. (Bitget alone contributed nearly $70 billion in Q2.) True innovation doesn’t always mean creating new assets. Sometimes, it’s just about making complicated processes simpler @bitget @Bitget_TradFi UEX
