[Kazakhstan Approves Strategic Digital Mining Rules, Mining Companies Must Allocate Part of Mining Output to National Reserves] According to Report.az, the government of Kazakhstan has approved the 'Strategic Digital Mining Implementation Rules,' granting enterprises a 10-year qualification to obtain electricity quotas at the highest rates from energy production organizations. As a condition for obtaining the quotas, enterprises are required to transfer a portion of their cryptocurrency mining output to the autonomous cluster fund Astana Hub. These assets will then be handed over to the National Investment Corporation under the National Bank for trust management, aimed at supplementing the country's strategic cryptocurrency reserves. Operators participating in strategic digital mining must submit applications through the E-licensing database, which will be reviewed and approved by a specialized committee. If approved, digital miners must sign an agreement with the Astana Hub autonomous cluster fund within five working days and enter into a power purchase agreement with the energy production organization.
