**[Fairshake-Related PAC Spends Over $986,000 to Influence Michigan Democratic Primary]**
Odaily Planet Daily News: Documents submitted to the U.S. Federal Election Commission (FEC) by Protect Progress PAC, an organization affiliated with the cryptocurrency-related political action committee Fairshake, reveal that as of Tuesday, it has spent over $986,000 to support Shri Thanedar, the incumbent Democratic congressman for Michigan's 13th Congressional District, while opposing challenger Donavan McKinney.
The expenditures occurred two weeks prior to the August 4 Democratic primary, which will determine the candidates for the November general election. Fairshake and its affiliated organizations report having $191 million in funds reserved for influencing key elections. Other cryptocurrency-related political action committees include Fellowship, supported by Cantor Fitzgerald and Anchorage Digital, and Blockchain Leadership Fund, backed by Anchorage and Chainlink Labs.
Protect Progress PAC has also spent over $100,000 to support Arizona Congressman Greg Stanton's reelection. Meanwhile, Defend American Jobs PAC has spent over $65,000 to support Amanda McKinney, the Republican candidate for Washington's 4th Congressional District.
