Strive to Support Bitcoin Open Source Development, Initially Sponsoring Bitcoin Core and Brink Developer Organizations

Foresight News reports that Matt Cole, Chairman and CEO of Bitcoin treasury company Strive, announced that Strive will expand its support from Bitcoin policy initiatives to open source development, initially sponsoring Bitcoin Core and Brink, an organization supporting developers of critical Bitcoin infrastructure. Strive stated that this support comes with no expectations of influencing technical decisions, governance, or protocol direction, and financial support should not be accompanied by demands for influence. Strive believes that institutions benefiting from Bitcoin should view supporting its ecosystem's long-term health as part of their fiduciary responsibility and calls on treasury companies, ETF issuers, mining firms, exchanges, custodians, and financial institutions to collectively take responsibility for maintaining the Bitcoin ecosystem.
