[Survey: 62% of U.S. Stablecoin Holders Have Converted Back to USD Due to Merchants Not Accepting Stablecoins] Foresight News reports, according to a joint survey by MNEE Pay and YouGov, 62% of U.S. stablecoin holders have converted their stablecoins back to USD because merchants did not accept them; 84% of holders stated they would prioritize merchants that accept stablecoins; 54% hold stablecoins for future spending. The survey also revealed a significant generational gap: among cryptocurrency holders aged 18 to 34, 88% hold stablecoins, while this proportion drops to just 15% for those aged 55 and above. The survey was conducted online in April 2026, with a sample of 251 U.S. adults holding any type of cryptocurrency, of which 103 indicated they hold stablecoins.
