If you feel like it’s getting harder to make money in this market cycle, don’t rush to blame the market.
Have you noticed something? It’s not that the market has no opportunities, but that the logic of making money has completely changed from the last cycle.
In the last bull market, as long as there was new capital flowing in, almost every asset would pump. After $BTC pumped, it was $ETH’s turn. After $ETH, it was layer-1 chains. Then came Meme coins. By the end, even projects with no real value could pump so hard it made you question reality.
Back then, making money came down to two words: *dare to hold*.
But this time, you’ll notice it’s a completely different game.
The money is still there, but it’s becoming more concentrated.
$BTC attracts institutions, $ETH supports the ecosystem, Solana and Base are fighting for users, and AI is grabbing the narrative…
The truth is, only a few directions can consistently attract capital.
As for the majority of other projects, they’re not waiting for the next pump—they’re waiting for the next batch of bag holders.
A lot of people are still waiting for altcoin season.
But what you’re waiting for might not be an altcoin season. Instead, it’s the hope from the last bull market, where you kept thinking, “If I just wait a bit longer, the money will eventually rotate to my coin.”
The harshest reality of the market is that it will never give you a chance to break even just because you’ve waited long enough.
Every bull and bear cycle, some assets will rise to the top.
And there will always be some assets that will never return to their all-time highs.
What truly determines your returns has never been about how many opportunities you’ve caught, but whether you have the courage to admit that some opportunities were wrong from the start.
As you trade longer, you’ll slowly realize one thing: making money isn’t about constantly chasing opportunities, but about letting go of those that no longer have a future.
Because when you follow the trend, you’re earning from the market. When you go against the trend, you’re gambling on your own stubbornness.
