[Analyst: Bank of England Expected to Keep Interest Rates Unchanged but Will Monitor Middle East Situation] Jin10 News, July 22 – Richard Carter of Quilter Cheviot stated in a report that the Bank of England is expected to maintain interest rates at 3.75% while waiting for clearer signs of the impact of the Middle East conflict. The latest UK inflation data shows that inflation fell to 2.6% in June, following a brief drop in oil prices after the US-Iran ceasefire. Carter noted: 'Given that the Middle East situation could once again escalate into a full-scale conflict, as it did earlier this year, this will continue to exert pressure on inflation rates.' Currently, the market expects the Bank of England to cumulatively raise interest rates by 40 basis points by 2026.
