Saw Peifengke's perspective, and it aligns with mine from last night: last night, stocks, bonds, oil, and forex were all up, but in reality, each was trading based on its own short-term logic. Sometimes, before key events, the market behaves like this—each trading on its own logic—because big money prefers to wait for certainty before making moves. Like I mentioned yesterday, you’ll notice that market trends sometimes don’t align with consensus expectations, but you can’t tell if it’s due to insider information or just small speculative money moving the market when there’s no unified expectation. The real market volatility and direction will start with Google’s earnings report on Thursday and then be determined by next week’s FOMC results.
