[Uphold Launches Fractional Trading for Over 4,000 Stocks and ETFs in the U.S.] According to The Block, cryptocurrency trading platform Uphold announced on Tuesday that it has launched trading services for over 4,000 U.S. stocks and ETFs in the United States, with support for fractional trading (also known as partial share trading). This service is available to U.S. customers, and Uphold plans to extend trading hours to 24/7, five days a week. When conducting 'crypto-to-stock' trades, Uphold will first convert users' digital assets into U.S. dollars. Fractional trading on Uphold is officially provided by registered broker-dealer Uphold Securities Inc., which is affiliated with FINRA. Crypto-to-stock transactions are handled by Uphold HQ, Inc., a U.S. money services business registered with FinCEN, and users are required to pay conversion fees. Both companies operate as independent entities under the same ownership.
