According to an internal memo, the newly established division at Goldman Sachs is called the 'Alternative Investments Platform.' This platform integrates Goldman Sachs' existing alternative investment businesses and incorporates two newly created teams. According to the memo, these two new teams are respectively focused on direct investments in individual private companies and assisting clients in buying and selling equity in such private companies.
