[NVIDIA Launches Spectrum-6 Ethernet Switching System for Next-Generation Hyperscale AI Factories]
Odaily Planet Daily News – On July 21, NVIDIA unveiled the next-generation Spectrum-6 Ethernet switching system, designed to support hyperscale AI infrastructure based on the Vera Rubin platform. The system boasts a single-switch capacity of 102.4Tbps, double that of the previous generation, and aims to connect hundreds of thousands of GPUs and CPUs, providing network support for large-scale AI training, intelligent agent applications, and inference tasks. NVIDIA stated that Spectrum-6 will serve as the core component of the next-generation Spectrum-X Ethernet platform, enhancing overall computational efficiency in AI factories through high bandwidth, intelligent traffic management, and fault recovery capabilities. Early adopters of the system will include AI infrastructure builders such as CoreWeave, Microsoft, Nebius, SpaceXAI, and Tesla.
