[CoinShares Launches UCITS Platform, Entering Europe's $30 Trillion Institutional Market] Deep Tide TechFlow reports that on July 21, according to The Block, cryptocurrency asset management company CoinShares officially launched its UCITS platform and simultaneously introduced its first fund—CoinShares Bitcoin Mining UCITS ETF, which began trading on Deutsche Börse Xetra on Tuesday. The platform aims to tap into Europe's €26.3 trillion (approximately $30 trillion) UCITS ecosystem, targeting major institutional investors such as pension funds, insurance companies, and private banks. CoinShares stated that the primary obstacle preventing institutional entry previously was product structure, as many institutions' investment mandates restricted them from holding debt securities. The introduction of the UCITS framework effectively removes this limitation. Company co-founder and CEO Jean-Marie Mognetti remarked that this move signifies CoinShares' official entry into the UCITS market, with plans to continue launching more digital asset and thematic investment strategies in the future.
