[Grayscale Submits Worldcoin ETF Registration Statement to SEC, Plans to List on Nasdaq] BlockBeats News, July 21: Grayscale has submitted a registration statement for the Grayscale Worldcoin ETF to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, aiming to launch the first ETF linked to Worldcoin (WLD). The fund will directly hold the native token of the World Network, WLD, and passively track its value, minus fund fees and other liabilities. If approved, the ETF will be listed on Nasdaq under its general listing standards. BNY Mellon is set to act as the transfer agent, while crypto custody provider BitGo Bank & Trust is expected to serve as the asset custodian. WLD currently has a market capitalization of approximately $1.3 billion, ranking 57th among crypto assets. Worldcoin, later renamed World, was co-founded by OpenAI CEO Sam Altman and focuses on biometrics, crypto assets, and blockchain-based identity verification. This application marks Grayscale's latest move to expand its crypto investment product offerings. The company has previously launched Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs and applied for funds linked to assets such as Dogecoin, Solana, and Chainlink. [Original Link]
