WuTalk has learned that Solv Protocol reported a security incident on July 13 involving the BTC+ contract on BNB Smart Chain. The attacker exploited a leaked deployer private key to upgrade the BTC+ minting proxy contract and mint unauthorized tokens. The team isolated the malicious contract within 3 hours and froze, destroyed, or quarantined all unauthorized BTC+, ensuring the underlying BTC assets were unaffected. BTC+ subscriptions and redemptions have been temporarily suspended, with redemptions expected to resume within two weeks. Solv Protocol has rotated relevant access credentials and signing keys, and initiated an external security audit.
