Peter Brandt: Bitcoin bear market may bottom on October 4th, and performance may outperform AI stocks in the next two to three years
According to BlockBeats, on July 20th, renowned trader and chart analyst Peter Brandt stated that he expects the Bitcoin market cycle to bottom out on October 4, 2026, and believes that investing in Bitcoin for the next two to three years may yield better returns than investing in AI stocks. Brandt stated in an interview that although accurately predicting the bottom date of the market is extremely challenging, he has long adhered to this judgment. He believes that the price of Bitcoin may continue to decline, even falling below $50000 and entering the latter half of the $40000 range. Brandt pointed out that the major bear markets in Bitcoin's history have all experienced a pullback of over 80%. If calculated based on the high point of about $120000 in this cycle, in extreme cases, Bitcoin may fall back to $50000 or even lower levels. Brandt does not agree with the current market view that a bottom may have been established around $60000. He stated that the bottom of the market usually does not occur in the emotionally neutral stage, but rather forms when investors panic, trading volume increases, and confidence collapses. In terms of investment choices, Brandt believes that there are significant risks in the current valuation of AI stocks, and it may be difficult to satisfy investors in the next two to three years. If he currently has $10000 in funds, he tends to allocate 50% to Bitcoin and 50% to precious metals. Brandt predicts that the top of Bitcoin's next cycle will occur in 2029, with a target price range of $250000 to $300000. He previously stated that there is still a possibility for Bitcoin to eventually reach $1 million, but the time window may need to extend until around 2030. [Original link]
