Why is this trending lately: Buy US stocks on Binance?
I’ve noticed many Twitter influencers adding this phrase as a suffix to their account names.
Turns out, bStocks are tokenized securities issued by a Binance-affiliated company. Each bStock is fully backed 1:1 by a real share of US stock held by a custodian.
But it’s not actually a stock—it’s a 'certificate representing a specific financial instrument.' Essentially, bStocks are 'traditional financial assets repackaged on the blockchain,' falling under the category of RWA (Real World Asset) tokenization.
The idea behind bStocks is to present stock assets as on-chain digital assets, making it easier for users to manage and utilize these assets in a Web3 environment.
So, what’s the difference between holding real US stocks and holding bStocks as 'stocks'?
