According to the 7th virtual asset regulatory update report released by FATF on July 16, jurisdictions have made progress in areas like VASP risk assessment, licensing and registration, Travel Rule implementation, and regulatory enforcement. However, significant gaps remain, including the failure to effectively translate risk assessments into mitigation measures, insufficient implementation of licensing and registration frameworks, difficulty identifying entities actually engaged in VASP activities, and inadequate risk-based regulation and enforcement. FATF also warned that virtual asset-related fraud is being industrialized by organized crime groups, while risks associated with stablecoin abuse, non-custodial wallet P2P transactions, offshore VASPs, and DeFi arrangements continue to rise. https://(wublock123.com)/news/fatf-virtual-asset-regulatory-gaps-stablecoin-abuse-risk-64942
