"[South Korean Analyst: South Korean Market May Continue Range-Bound Fluctuations Before Year-End] Odaily Planet Daily News – After a significant pullback in the South Korean stock market recently, it is attempting to rebound. However, some analysts believe it will not be easy to reclaim previous highs during the third quarter. Given that the KOSPI margin balance remains at a high level, market volatility may further expand. It is expected that the South Korean stock market will maintain a range-bound fluctuation and search for direction before the end of the year. Kim Jun-young, a researcher at iM Securities, stated in a report on the 20th: 'Rather than expecting the KOSPI index to return to its previous highs in the third quarter, it is more likely that the market will remain in a phase of range-bound fluctuations and direction-seeking, a situation that may persist until the end of the year.' He added: 'The persistently high margin balance suggests that market volatility could further amplify index fluctuations. If the index declines further, caution is needed regarding the risk of credit selling triggered by margin call liquidations.'" (Jin10)
