Today, I spoke with three other experienced Ukrainian military officers – Commander of the Joint Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Mykhailo Drapatyi, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Volodymyr Horbatiuk, and Commander of the Airborne Assault Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleh Apostol. First, Major General Drapatyi reported on the situation in the sectors of the Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, and Donetsk regions. I am grateful to all our units that are effectively destroying the occupiers and preventing the Russian army from accomplishing its assigned objectives. Second – the implementation of our agreements with partners and the continuous delivery of supplies needed to defend Ukraine. The top priorities are air defense and the full execution of contracts for the production of all types of drones. Third – the Oleksandrivka sector and the active operations of our Airborne Assault Forces. I appreciate the unbiased assessment of the situation, the detailed review of the key needs of the corps and brigades operating in these sectors, and the proposals for addressing problematic issues and closing supply gaps.
