[Ostium: Will Notify 24 Hours Before Restart in Collaboration with Multiple Security Firms and Law Enforcement Agencies]
Foresight News reports that the RWA trading platform Ostium on Arbitrum tweeted that the attack on July 15 occurred due to hackers breaching the off-chain infrastructure related to the protocol's pricing system, resulting in total losses exceeding $23.75 million. Currently, Ostium is working with Mandiant, zeroShadow, Collisionless, SEAL 911, and law enforcement agencies, as well as coordinating with exchanges, bridges, and stablecoin issuers.
Ostium stated that all engineering efforts are now focused on isolating and reinforcing the necessary infrastructure to ensure a secure restart. Ostium will provide at least 24 hours' notice before unfreezing trading contracts. Upon reopening, traders' positions will be marked to the reopening price, unaffected by price fluctuations during the downtime.
