I’m selling puts expiring next Friday at around -10% every day now.
Sndk and mu. Watching the sndk/mu pair—whichever is undervalued, I sell that one.
Then on Wednesday, I roll the position no matter the profit or loss.
Got lucky this time. Last week, I sold the 1620 put at 1800, and when it dropped to 1500 and bounced back, I rolled it to the 1500 put for next week when the market opened at 1650 on Wednesday. Otherwise, I would’ve taken a huge loss.
Overall, the returns are decent, and the risk isn’t too high.
Because, after all, the U.S. stock market isn’t like $ETH. It can stay at a high level with low IV and avoid a short-term death spiral crash.
So, the conclusion is: selling puts in the U.S. stock market is fine, but in the crypto space, I’d never do it.
If you like playing with dual-currency investments, do your own research. I’ve always believed that anyone selling puts or buying dual-currency products in the crypto space during low IV is just being dumb.
