[OpenAI Chairman States 'No Interest' in Other Companies' Trade Secrets]
According to a report by Jinse Finance, on July 17, Apple previously filed a lawsuit accusing OpenAI employees of stealing its trade secrets. Subsequently, OpenAI Chairman Bret Taylor denied that the company attempted to obtain proprietary information from competitors.
'We have no interest in other companies' trade secrets, absolutely none,' Taylor said in an interview with CNBC, adding that the investigation is ongoing and he could not comment further. However, he did promote OpenAI's initiatives toward developing custom AI hardware.
'Our focus on hardware is very straightforward: we simply want to fulfill our mission of ensuring that general artificial intelligence benefits humanity,' Taylor said. 'I believe exploring the hardware forms of this intelligence is very important.'
