Yesterday the Senate passed by unanimous consent a resolution introduced by @SenRubenGallego and @SenLummis that FTX founder @SBF_FTX should not receive a presidential pardon. What does this mean? Not much for SBF. It’s a strong political statement that essentially puts the Senate on record that it believes he should not be pardoned. But it’s a nonbinding resolution, meaning it doesn’t prevent a president from pardoning him in the future.(Eleanor Terrett)
