According to WuTalk, Visa and Artemis jointly released a report stating that AI Agents have started autonomously booking travel, purchasing computing power, and accessing data services. Machine payments are transitioning from concept to real-world commercial applications. Since its launch in May 2025, x402 has completed approximately 109.6 million transactions, with an adjusted transaction volume of about $15 million. The average payment per transaction under the protocol is less than 1 cent, making traditional card fixed fees uneconomical for such micropayments. In the future, credit cards may continue to handle regular e-commerce payments, while stablecoins are better suited for high-frequency machine payments. The current biggest obstacle is not settlement technology but the lack of clarity around AI Agent authorization, liability, and dispute resolution mechanisms. https://(wublock123.com)/news/visa-ai-agent-payments-practical-stablecoins-for-machine-micropayments-64729
