[The U.S. officially initiates a Section 337 investigation into DRAM devices and their downstream products and components (II), with Samsung Electronics, Google, NVIDIA, and others listed as respondents] Odaily Planet Daily News, July 15: The U.S. International Trade Commission (USITC) has voted to initiate a Section 337 investigation into certain dynamic random-access memory (DRAM) devices and their downstream products and components (II) (Investigation Code: 337-TA-1511). The USITC will determine the target date for completing the investigation within 45 days of instituting the case. Except in cases where the U.S. Trade Representative vetoes based on policy reasons, any remedial orders issued by the USITC in Section 337 cases will take effect on the date of issuance and become final on the 60th day after issuance.
