A few days ago, I saw @yueya_eth posting about @caspius_ai. Out of curiosity, I checked it out and here are my quick thoughts At first, I thought it was just “earn tokens by doing chores,” but later I realized that’s a bit too simplistic. In the past, AI fed on existing text, images, and videos from the internet. For embodied intelligence to move forward, it needs a lot of real-world action data: How people hold a cup, wipe a table, fold clothes, cook food. These first-person physical interactions are what robots need to consume. Looking at what Caspius is doing, it’s pretty straightforward: Use your phone to record daily tasks, get Points after the videos are verified, and later CAS tokens are distributed based on epochs. The mechanism isn’t too complicated: - You need to hold a Miner NFT to participate - Energy determines how long you can record each day - Points depend on the quality of your contributions - The Level / Rarity / Traits of your NFT affect the final multiplier It kind of feels like a “Do to Earn” model. But it’s not asking you to do extra work, it’s not play-to-earn or requiring you to run or exercise. Instead, it turns the everyday actions you’re already doing into data that embodied AI can use. Of course, don’t get overly hyped and treat it like a money printer. Because from what I’ve seen, you can’t just casually record a couple of clips and expect to earn. Ideally, you’ll need a head-mounted rig, both hands in the frame, and try to keep your movements steady while filming, as the content will be reviewed. If a group of people really starts contributing this kind of first-person data consistently, then it’s not just a task platform anymore. It becomes a distributed physical-world data network. The truly competitive embodied intelligence systems of the future might not rely solely on the data silos of a few big companies, but instead be built on a distributed physical data network contributed by billions of ordinary people.
