Former ByteDance Generative AI Core Leader Yuan Zehuan Suspected to Have Resigned to Start a Business Yuan Zehuan, the former head of generative AI technology at ByteDance AI Lab, is suspected to have left the company to start his own venture, focusing on world model development with an emphasis on foundational models in the Physical AI field. Public records show that Yuan Zehuan completed both his undergraduate and doctoral studies in the Department of Computer Science and Technology at Nanjing University.
