The South Korea KOSPI index soared more than 8% at one point during intraday trading. As of 2:30 PM local time, foreign investors had made net purchases of stocks worth 2.4 trillion won (approximately $1.61 billion), more than double the nearly 1 trillion won net purchases from the previous day. Institutional investors made net purchases of 180 billion won, with their buying momentum slowing compared to Tuesday.
