[Russia and the U.S. Develop Joint Plan to End International Space Station Operations by the End of 2030] According to a report by Golden Finance, on July 15, the office of Russia's First Deputy Prime Minister Manturov announced that following the visit of NASA Administrator Bill Nelson, Russia and the U.S. have developed a joint plan to end operations of the International Space Station by the end of 2030. The two sides also discussed emergency mutual assistance cooperation for national orbital stations, lunar exploration cooperation projects, as well as joint experiments in space medicine and biology. The International Space Station began construction in 1998, with an initial design lifespan of 15 years, which has been extended multiple times. Since 2019, the core module of the Russian segment, the "Zvezda" service module, has been experiencing persistent air leakage issues. (CCTV News)
