According to the *Seoul Economic Daily*, the South Korean government announced in the *2026 Economic Growth Strategy* released on July 14 that it will advance the second phase of legislation for the *Basic Act on Digital Assets* in the second half of this year. This includes categorizing types of digital asset businesses, establishing a regulatory framework for business conduct, and providing legal grounds for the issuance and circulation of stablecoins. The government will also develop a cross-border stablecoin trading system, support amendments to the *Capital Markets Act* to introduce spot ETFs for digital assets like BTC, and plans to launch a pilot for tokenized government bonds connected to CBDC with Korean banking institutions by 2027. https://www.(wublock123.com)/news/news-64581
