[Foreign Investors Net Sell Korean Stocks for Fifth Consecutive Month]
BlockBeats News, July 14: Data released by the Bank of Korea on Tuesday shows that despite gains in the Korean stock market driven by tech stocks, foreign investors continued to net sell Korean stocks in June for the fifth consecutive month. According to data from the Bank of Korea, after net selling $26.15 billion in May, foreign investors net sold a total of $30.72 billion in Korean stocks and bonds in June. Since February, foreign investors have maintained a net selling trend. The Bank of Korea stated that concerns over overheating in artificial intelligence infrastructure investments weakened investor sentiment, leading to a further increase in the scale of net selling by foreign investors compared to the previous month. The bank added that as the Korean stock market rose, foreign investors reduced their stock holdings during portfolio rebalancing, further accelerating capital outflows. (Jin10)
