[The U.S. military refutes Iran's claim of 'controlling the Strait of Hormuz': The strait is an international waterway]
Reported by Jinse Finance, July 12 – The U.S. Central Command recently posted on social media, stating that the claim made by the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Navy Commander on official media, asserting that no foreign vessels can pass through the Strait of Hormuz without being identified, tracked, and monitored by Iranian forces, is false. In fact, Iran does not control the Strait of Hormuz. The strait remains an international waterway. The U.S. military has been deployed and is ready at any time to maintain this status quo. Earlier, the U.S. Central Command posted that the Strait of Hormuz remains open to all vessels legally transiting this international waterway. The U.S. military has completed its deployment and is prepared to ensure that freedom of navigation continues to be upheld. Iran does not control the Strait of Hormuz, and shipping through the strait is currently proceeding as normal.
