According to DefiLlama data, Polymarket's protocol revenue over the past 7 days is around $10 million, and its 30-day revenue is approximately $38 million. If we simply annualize the weekly revenue, it's at the $500 million level. What's even crazier is that it's not driven by TVL, liquidity mining, or complex tokenomics, but by a more fundamental demand: people having different opinions on the same issue and being willing to bet on their judgment. Prediction markets, of course, also need liquidity and market-making, but their core variable isn't "how much money is locked," it's "how many disagreements in the world are worth betting on." Meanwhile, many DeFi products are still optimizing impermanent loss models for a 0.01% LP yield, and product managers are continuing to debate whether to add yet another layer of complexity.
