[Custodia Submits Petition to U.S. Supreme Court to Advance 6-Year Dispute Over Federal Reserve Master Account]
Odaily Planet Daily News: Custodia Bank has submitted a petition for review to the U.S. Supreme Court, seeking confirmation on whether regional Federal Reserve Bank presidents have the authority to deny institutions access to master account services. Custodia Bank has repeatedly applied for a Federal Reserve master account, but in 2023, the Federal Reserve rejected the application, citing significant security and stability risks associated with its novel business model and proposed focus on crypto assets. Custodia Bank subsequently appealed to the U.S. Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals, which in 2024 ruled in favor of the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City. The U.S. Supreme Court will decide in October whether to hear the case. (Bitcoin.com News).
