According to Bitcoin.com, Singapore police conducted a six-week operation aimed at preventing potential scam victims and avoiding fund transfers through blockchain analysis. The operation was jointly carried out by the Anti-Scam Centre, the Cybercrime Investigation Branch, Coinbase, and six other cryptocurrency exchanges, spanning from April 16 to May 31, 2026.
According to authorities, the operation identified over 145 potential scam victims and prevented more than $4.2 million in potential losses. Police utilized analysis tools from Chainalysis and TRM Labs to investigate activities related to impersonation of government officials, investment scams, job scams, and romance scams. The analysis results helped authorities identify individuals at risk of cryptocurrency transfer fraud.
