[SK Hynix Expects HBM Prices to Double by 2027, Memory Industry Supply May Hit Historical Tightness]
Odaily Planet Daily News - On the evening of July 10 (Eastern Time), SK Hynix CEO Kwak Noh-jung stated that 2027 is expected to be the year with the tightest supply in the history of the memory industry. Currently, customers are seeking to sign long-term supply agreements with SK Hynix as demand continues to grow, but the company faces capacity constraints. Kwak Noh-jung mentioned that although the company is expanding its capacity, customer demand may still exceed the company's supply capabilities after 2030. Domestic investment professionals who have interacted with Korean memory manufacturers noted that executives from major overseas memory companies are also monitoring the expansion progress of Chinese memory manufacturers. Changxin Memory and Yangtze Memory may become the largest long-term variables in the future memory market.
