According to Wu Blockchain, Blockstream co-founder and Hashcash inventor Adam Back, along with MicroStrategy founder Michael Saylor, have posted their opposition to implementing BIP 110 on the Bitcoin network.
Adam Back stated that BIP 110 attempts to regulate others' transactions, which goes against Bitcoin's principles of decentralization and permissionlessness. He warned that forcing it through would only lead to a chain split.
Michael Saylor pointed out that BIP 110 escalates the spam debate into a consensus change, invalidating some valid transactions that have already paid fees. He believes this sets an extremely dangerous precedent and suggests the community should focus its energy on addressing more critical threats.
