According to CriptoNoticias, the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) has issued a warning that scammers are exploiting the June 30 end date of the MiCA transition period to launch large-scale phishing attacks targeting crypto asset service providers. These scammers are impersonating ESMA by using its name, logo, and institutional image to send emails, demanding payment of so-called 'urgent fees' for 'fast-track approval' of MiCA licenses or requesting internal and confidential company information. ESMA clarified that its official email domain is only @esma.europa.eu and that it will never request transfers, additional payments, or personal information through unsolicited electronic communications.
