[Richard Teng: Binance Aims to Increase User Base to 3 Billion by 2030] According to CNA, Binance Co-CEO Richard Teng stated that the exchange is accelerating its efforts to obtain more compliance licenses in Asia, including in countries like Japan and India, and is entering the local market through a partnership with the Philippines-based BlockShoals Technologies. Regarding its withdrawal of the MiCA license application in Greece within the EU, Teng clarified that it was due to delays in the approval process rather than a strategic shift, and Binance continues to maintain communication with EU regulators. Teng noted that approximately 740 million people globally are currently engaged with crypto assets, about half of whom are Binance users. The platform invests over $300 million annually in compliance, with roughly a quarter of its employees dedicated to compliance efforts. Additionally, Binance strengthens user asset protection through its proof of reserves and the SAFU fund.
