[AI Writing Startup Marker Secures $13 Million in Seed Funding] London-based AI writing startup, co-founded by the former Creative Lead at DeepMind, has emerged from stealth mode and announced the completion of a $13 million seed funding round. The company, named Marker, saw the round led by Index Ventures, with participation from Local Globe. Angel investors in this round include Steve Newman, co-founder of Writely; Cal Henderson, co-founder of Slack; and Thomas Wolf from Hugging Face. According to reports, early test users of Marker’s platform have already utilized it to create various types of content, including blog posts, Substack newsletters, business documents, memos, and novels.
