Golden Finance reports that on July 10, Vice Minister of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) Xiong Jijun presided over a symposium in Beijing on July 8 to address key proposals and suggestions in the fields of electronic information and digital-intelligent transformation. The meeting discussed the handling of key proposals related to independent innovation in chips and algorithms, the construction of optoelectronic industry clusters, and the digital-intelligent transformation of enterprises. Luo Laijun, a member of the Party Leadership Group and full-time Vice Chairman of the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce, attended the meeting and delivered a speech. Relevant officials from the Financial and Economic Affairs Committee of the National People's Congress, the Representative Work Committee of the Standing Committee, the Proposal Committee of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), as well as representatives of relevant NPC deputies, CPPCC members, and organizations, along with officials from co-organizing departments such as the Cyberspace Administration of China, the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Science and Technology, and the National Data Administration, participated in the meeting.
The meeting emphasized the need to seize the opportunities presented by innovation and transformation in digital-intelligent technologies such as artificial intelligence, support the development of industries like AI chips and optoelectronics, and promote the coordinated advancement of hardware, software, standards, and patent layouts to accelerate the high-quality development of the electronic information industry. It was stressed that integrating informatization and industrialization should be regarded as both a strategic task and a practical approach to advancing new industrialization. Efforts should be made to simultaneously promote the digital transformation, networked collaboration, and intelligent upgrading of the manufacturing sector. Tailored strategies should be adopted based on local conditions and specific enterprises, with categorized guidance provided to enterprises for digital-intelligent transformation. Additionally, the comprehensive and full-chain application of new-generation information technologies should be accelerated.
