SanDisk popped 7% on news that Meta is locking in massive, multi-year supply deals for its flash storage. According to an internal memo leaked to Reuters, Meta plans to start making a new AI chip called "Iris" in September.
They want to double their total computing capacity to 14 gigawatts next year. To pull this off, Meta is securing long-term contracts with SanDisk for flash storage, Samsung for memory, and Sumitomo Electric for fiber optics.
BofA and Citi bumped their price targets for SanDisk to $2,500, pointing to a 34% upside. SNDK is already up nearly 4,000% over the last year as tech giants fight over AI infrastructure.(Lark Davis)
