[The U.S. Mistakenly Views Iran's "Flexibility" as a Sign of Weakness] According to a report by Jinse Finance, Abas Aslani, a senior researcher at the Middle East Strategic Studies Center based in Tehran, stated that despite Iran launching a series of attacks on the territories of its Gulf neighbors, the country is still seeking to repair relations with these nations. He said, "Iran's actions are consistent with its pre-war approach, which is to strive for a negotiated resolution through diplomatic talks and relevant channels." He added, "The U.S. and the West have a misunderstanding and bias, interpreting any display of flexibility by Iran as a signal of weakness." This stance "could lead to an inducement effect and even be seen as rolling out the 'red carpet' for further attacks against Iran." Aslani pointed out that despite the escalation of tensions, Iran has consistently tried to limit the scope and scale of its responses to U.S. actions. "Iranian officials have held consultations with their counterparts in the region aimed at repairing relations. Israel and the U.S. are not pleased with this, as they are attempting to create divisions between Iran and its neighbors." (Jin10)
