**[BNB Chain Releases 2026 Second Half Technical Roadmap: BSC Throughput Target to Double]** Odaily Planet Daily News: BNB Chain has released its technical roadmap for the second half of 2026, announcing plans to continue optimizing speed, throughput, and protocol stability. The roadmap includes doubling the throughput of the BSC mainnet and developing a next-generation Layer 1 architecture designed for the next decade. BNB Chain stated that in the first half of 2026, BSC completed several performance upgrades, including reducing block intervals from 750 milliseconds to 450 milliseconds, lowering memory finality time from 1125 milliseconds to 650 milliseconds, and increasing baseline throughput from approximately 2800 TPS to around 5200 TPS. On the middleware layer, BNB Chain advanced AI agent and payment infrastructure development, including launching the BNB Agent Studio and BNB Agent SDK to support autonomous on-chain AI agent deployment. Additionally, it continued refining the Middleware Payment Protocol (MPP) SDK and explored institutional-grade privacy frameworks. For the second half of 2026, BNB Chain outlined three core objectives: 1. **Doubling Throughput**: Enhance BSC mainnet performance through BEP-675, BAL integration, and EVM execution optimization, with a long-term goal of achieving a 10x performance increase across the BNB Chain ecosystem. 2. **Reducing Network Congestion Impact**: Improve peak-period stability via resource isolation, dedicated transaction channels, and transaction inclusion mechanisms based on the FOCIL concept. 3. **Lowering Usage Barriers**: Optimize gas fee structures for various industries to reduce costs for enterprises entering Web2 and Web3 application scenarios.
