[Report: U.S. Semiconductor Industry Faces High-Skilled Talent Shortage, Gap Expected to Reach Nearly 160,000 by 2030]
Golden Finance reports that on July 8, a joint employer survey analysis conducted by McKinsey & Company, the U.S. semiconductor industry organization SEMI, and the National Science Foundation revealed that the shortage of high-skilled workers across the United States is becoming increasingly severe. By 2030, the U.S. technical workforce gap is expected to reach as many as 157,000 full-time employees. This could lead to delays in the construction of new semiconductor factories worth billions of dollars across the country and constrain future chip production.
