[New Hampshire Lawmakers to Hold Hearing on $100 Million Bitcoin Bond on Wednesday]
According to Cointelegraph, the New Hampshire Business Finance Authority (BFA) in the United States is scheduled to hold a public hearing on Wednesday regarding the issuance of a $100 million Bitcoin-backed bond. The plan, approved by the BFA in November 2025, requires final approval from the governor and a five-member executive council. The bond is collateralized by private borrower CleanSpark and carries no recourse to state funds or taxpayers. Moody's assigned the bond a preliminary Ba2 rating (speculative grade) in March. New Hampshire is the first state to pass a Strategic Bitcoin Reserve Act, allowing up to 5% of public funds to be invested in digital assets.
