[Iranian Foreign Ministry: U.S. Revocation of Sanctions Suspension Violates Memorandum of Understanding]
According to Golden Finance, on July 8, the Iranian Foreign Ministry issued a statement on the local date of the 8th, condemning the U.S. Treasury Department's decision to revoke the suspension of sanctions on Iranian oil sales. The statement described this action as a serious violation of the terms of the U.S.-Iran Memorandum of Understanding signed on June 18, and stated that the U.S. government must bear responsibility for the consequences of this breach. The statement also noted that in the past 20 days, actions taken by the U.S. and, through Israel, against Lebanon have repeatedly and directly or indirectly violated various provisions of the Memorandum of Understanding. While warning of the potential consequences of the U.S.'s breach of agreement, the Iranian Foreign Ministry emphasized that Iran will take all measures it deems necessary to safeguard its national interests and security.
