According to Wu Blockchain, Galaxy Research stated that OP_RETURN transactions currently account for about 3.8% of Bitcoin block disk space daily, with OP_RETURN transactions containing more than 80 bytes of usable data making up only about 0.016%. Alex Thorn, Head of Research at Galaxy Digital, noted that since the release of Bitcoin Core v30, OP_RETURN's usage of block space has not significantly increased. Even though there has been a slight rise in OP_RETURN transactions exceeding 80 bytes, their share remains below 0.1%. He believes that given the limited actual impact of such prunable transactions, BIP-110 is an overly aggressive and disruptive response. https://www.(wublock123.com)/news/galaxy-research-op-return-over-80-byte-tx-occupy-0-016-percent-block-space-64179
