[SpaceX Successfully Launches and Tests 'Fabships' Experimental Module] Reported by Jinse Finance, on July 7, U.S.-based SpaceX successfully tested space semiconductor manufacturing technology during a recent Starlink launch mission, carrying the 'Fabship' experimental module developed by Besxar. The equipment crossed the Kármán line aboard the Falcon 9 rocket, utilizing the microgravity and ultra-clean vacuum environment of space to eliminate crystal growth defects caused by gravity, aiming to produce higher-purity and better-performing semiconductor materials. Besxar has signed a 12-flight consecutive testing agreement with SpaceX to rapidly iterate manufacturing processes and verify the safe return of semiconductor chips to Earth. If the technology matures, space could become a new link in the semiconductor supply chain, providing ultra-pure materials for chip manufacturing that cannot be produced on Earth.
