[Li Bojie Responds to Metagent Investment Dispute, Claims ABCDE Capital Actually Transferred Only $500,000]
Metagent co-founder and former CTO Li Bojie published a statement in response to accusations from ABCDE Capital partner Du Jun, claiming that out of the $1.5 million stipulated in the investment agreement, only $500,000 was received, while the remaining $1 million was unpaid. However, the cap table still calculated ABCDE's equity based on the full $1.5 million. Li Bojie stated that due to the prolonged absence of funds, he and his co-founder voluntarily reduced their salaries, and the company's recruitment and R&D efforts were hindered. He left the company in October 2024 due to family reasons and compliance issues related to Web3 in mainland China. Before his departure, he disclosed the cap table and business progress as required and noted that his subsequent entrepreneurial projects have avoided areas related to non-compete clauses, such as Web3, AI infrastructure, and image generation.
